There are so many individuals, professionals, and vendors that are making this event possible! We would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their help, services, talent, and expertise– and hopefully facilitate some connections among all the great people we know.
So, to all of you who have graciously given of your time, energy, and talents for our special day, thank you!
I am selfishly a little glad that Meg Moyer-Herrmann got a few weddings under her belt (including her own!) before it was time for me to plan my wedding. She already possessed the vision, talent, and supreme organization skills any great wedding planner needs, and now her brides are nothing short of blessed to have her amazing skills at their disposal. Before Meg graciously stepped up to the plate and put the wedding-planning machine into motion, there were very real plans of eloping– planning an event that was this large and managed to capture our passions and personalities seemed entirely too overwhelming, but Meg has made it manageable. She has helped in more ways than we could possible verbalize, and we are so grateful for her friendship and all that she has done for our wedding. For any of you with upcoming weddings or events, I highly recommend you look into hiring Meg– she is amazing.
Marcy Letiza is the creative visionary behind the gasp-worthy flowers, bouquets, and boutonnieres at Only My Wedding. I am so thrilled to consider her a friend and to have her beautiful creations in my wedding ceremony. She is responsible for the bouquets and boutonnieres at our wedding, and I promise, you will be impressed. Check out her site, and keep her in mind the next time you want beautiful, unique, and a much-more-environmentally-sustainable-than-farmed-flowers option at your next event! Thank you, Marcy!
Endless thank-you's are in order for bar tender extraordinaire, Dan Cronin, who graciously helped me with my strange request for "fifty or sixty tequila bottles." He and his colleagues at Diego's Cantina and Tequila Bar in Media, PA graciously saved boxed of empty tequila bottles for months, holding them each time until I was able to pick them up, and even making sure that there were a variety of bottle styles and colors. I am now in possession of exactly 60 tequila bottles, and he was a huge help in getting this particular wedding project crossed off my list. Thank you, Dan, for collecting the bottles, making everyone else collect the bottles, carrying them to my car on more than one occasion, and not blinking an eye when I asked you to save your trash for me!
My little sister, Britni, has amazing throughout this entire process. She got married before me, and even though I was a crappy enough maid of honor that watching the movie Bridesmaids made me cry and call her and tell her how much I sucked at the job, she has been an incredible help ever since she found out I was engaged. Thank you for all of your help, support, planning, and listening to me incessantly talk about all the stuff I don't know how to do when it comes to weddings, all the time. We love you! This would not be coming together without all your help and support!
We would like to send a special shout out to Audrey at Mama Owl Photography– not only does she take beautiful photographs, but she is also a really awesome person. She immediately put us at ease with her easy demeanor and amazing portfolio. We cannot wait to see the amazing photographs she takes at our wedding, and are so thrilled and excited to have such an amazing person and amazing artist capturing our event for us! Check our her page and her beautiful work here.
Everyone at the Philadelphia Magic Gardens has been helpful, kind, and lovely throughout the entire wedding planning process. Allison, the event coordinator there, was able to answer every question we had (including uber-practical, wedding-worst-case-scenario experienced Chris) and was prompt and professional in everything that she did. The space is incredibly beautiful– truly a work of art!– and we are thrilled to work with a space that is a prominent part of the surrounding community, an important part of the history of Philadelphia, and an arts advocate.
